Speaking at the Airline’s travel agents awards, KQ Country Manager, Juliet Zintambila stated they are also actively exploring the possibility of having daily flights into and out of Botswana. 

Zintambila stated that they value their customers’ support, and constantly seek to obtain feedback on their service offering. This goes a long way in assisting them identify opportunities to improve.   She assured that comments, suggestions, feedback that they constantly receive from customers, are always carefully considered.   “Our customers are the reason for our existence,” she said, further revealing that they have also been offering good competitive fares for students, government, and missionaries; also for traders to the Far East as well as expatriates. “Our five weekly flights to Gaborone are now well established,” she said.

Zintambila said KQ strives to contribute to the sustainable development of Africa, through their growing network, by opening up access to markets thus increasing opportunities for business as well as leisure travel.  “Our vision is to be the pride of Africa, inspire our people and delight our guest; in line with these Kenya airways has partnered with the government internship programme to nurture talent and transfer skills,” she said.

She further noted that the airline is also actively expanding the route network to ensure that they meet their objective, of connecting Africa to the world and the world to Africa.

Last year, Zintambila said Kenyan Airways success is based on their network system. Kenyan Airways launched the two night flights in April 2013 due to increased demand from customers. Zintambila stated that providing seamless connections for customers travelling to Botswana was a priority so as to reduce long transit times.  Zintambila said the expansion is in line with their core purpose of contributing to sustainable development, not only in Kenya, but also the rest of the African continent.

Kenya Airways commenced flights to Gaborone in 2009, and its popularity amongst travellers has tremendously grown.

Batswana doing business across the globe, especially with China welcomed the decision by KQ to consider connectivity to Asia. They point out that it would help them save money and time, instead of having to connect more than once to reach their Asian destinations.
