The singer also known as Masonoko after the title track has made it a point to always impress with her gowns.  Just this weekend she performed at a local jazz show and her outfit designed by her Chinese associate Andy Lin was bold and colourful.  The effort and creativity put in could not go unnoticed.

A self-confessed fashion addict, Ramogotsi expressed that she has always loved to look good.  The songbird said that her love for looking good shot up along with her career taking off.

She expressed that it might be a bit expensive to look good, but she does not mind because it is an investment that pays off in the end.

She said: “As an artist you have to make an effort to look your best because image is everything.  It doesn’t matter if you have a wonderful voice or not because it cannot just go alone.”

She added that both music and image form a complete package.

Furthermore, she pointed out that image shows that you take yourself seriously.  Therefore, people will extend the same courtesy with which one conducts themselves with in business or otherwise. She said that this is particularly important, especially when dealing with clients.

Ramogotsi added that to her music is a profession that pays her bills, which is why she has to dress the part. She advised other local artists to do the same and step up on improving their image.

However, she highlighted that in recent years Batswana in the music industry have made quite a significant change in upping their game.

She sais: “At the same time when artists dress up they should put in mind their genre of music.  Kwaito, Hip Hop and Jazz artists all have ways in which they can dress that better suits them.”

At the beginning of the year, the singer appeared on South Africa’s SABC 2, primetime show, Morning Live.  She said that she was invited there because of her singing ability and image. Ramogotsi said that although she emphasised on image it goes beyond clothes, but instead on how one presents oneself including on social networks sites and elsewhere because it goes a long way.
