Letlapeng leads the log with 34 points, level with Black Forest, but ahead on a superior goal difference. However, the management is not impressed with the team’s play. Club officials have reportedly accused Nthaga of employing poor tactics and favouring some players who do not train consistently, but are selected come match day. The management is not happy about the way the coach selects his squad.

Letlapeng chairperson, Sydney Magagane said he was meeting Nthaga yesterday (Monday) to discuss the performance of the team. He said he does not believe in firing the coach because that is not a solution.

Magagane said when he joined the Letlapeng committee, he made it known that firing the coach is risky and might compromise their title chances. Nthaga had denied fielding players who do not train regularly.

Meanwhile, Letlapeng face a daunting challenge in the title race because they must play top six sides in the log. Their main rivals, Black Forest have an easier run-in with coach, Martin Motswiri, planning how to narrow the goal difference gap. Motswiri said his charges were implementing the strategy over the weekend when they beat Masitaoka 3-1. Forest was unlucky as the referee ruled out three of their goals for offside. Motswiri said they will adopt the same attacking mentality when they play Black Peril.

Forest collected three points after thrashing Masitaoka 3-1 and Letlapeng pulled a 1-1 draw against third placed Rolling Boys. The draw means Boys has now accumulated 30 points. At the bottom of the log are Masitaoka with 15 points, while Black Peril are 11th with 15 and Mochudi Buffaloes are 10th with 17.

Buffaloes lost 2-1 to Modipane United, while Prisons XI collected maximum points thanks to a 1-0 win over Gantsi Terrors. Mogoditshane Fighters drew 0-0 against Peril. Jwaneng Comets did not have mercy for Killer Giants as they drubbed them 3-1 to walk away with three points.
