TAFIC register netball club

The entry of TAFIC Netball Club (TNC) will increase teams in the northern region to eight. Others clubs in the northern region are Dukwi United, Orapa Wanderers, Arsenal, Botsrail, Flamingoes, Miscellaneous, Tasc and Morupule Wanderers.

TNC coach, Moses Dikolane, who was previously with TASC said it was not the first time they affiliated with BONA. He explained that previously, the club was affected by lack of commitment and that is why its BONA affiliation lapsed. “Our aim is to remove kids from the streets and develop them into formidable stars who will tomorrow be able to provide for themselves and families through sport.

We also have a responsibility to mould such kids into national team material, so that they can meet the criteria and I am hoping to use my skills acquired from Tasc to make TAFIC a force to reckon with,” he explained.

Dikolane said he has liaised with some schools in Francistown to serve as a feeder for his club. He promised to work and make sure the clubs and the schools benefit from the relationship.

The TAFIC coach said they are aware of the financial challenges that come with participating in the league and they are putting measures in place to raise funds.

“When forming a team, finances will always be a primary concern for everyone because the last thing we need is to fail to honour fixtures because of money. Therefore we are lining up sponsorship proposals and activities that will raise money for the club. We know it will not be easy, especially in our first season to convince potential sponsors but we are determined to do everything in our power to make ends meet,” he stressed.
