Screening for BNOC position starts

Although a date to fill the new post has not been set, the BNOC has said it is a priority. BNOC spokesperson, Mpho Motlhabane said 17 candidates have shown interest in the position following advertisements in the local press.

More applicants from recruiting agencies will be added to the list. “It is not like we did not get what we wanted, we just need as many applicants to get the best candidate possible,” Motlhabane told Mmegi Sport.

However, she would not say when the position would be filled though the appointment is a priority.

The COO will act as BNOC chief executive officer as the incumbent, Tuelo Serufho has been seconded to the Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC). Serufho will revert to his BNOC position in September. BNOC accountant Modisaotsile Phatshwane is currently acting in his place.
