The national team player has been invited by Netball Singapore to take part in the elite league of six teams.  As part of building a strong relationship with fellow associations, each Singapore team will feature an international player. Binang said she considered herself lucky to have been chosen among equally good players to go Singapore. She promised to do her best on and off the field.  “I hope to learn something new,” she told Mmegi Sport. The 20-year-old leaves on April 20 and returns home at the end of May when the Singapore competition concludes.

The Botswana Netball Association (BONA) spokesperson, Kelebogile Maplanka has said Binang has been through all national team structures.

The young player who got her first senior team cap in 2012 was part of the SCSA Zone VI squad that won bronze in Swaziland the same year.  She also featured in the Under-21 Tri-Nations team that won bronze in 2011.

BONA has expressed pride in partnering with Netball Singapore.  Meanwhile, BONA holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Cresta Botsalo Hotel in Palapye tomorrow. Amongst the issues to be discussed are  development structures, finances, sponsorship and governance.  The asociation will introduce its new patron Assistant Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Botlogile Tshireletso.
