Thug thanks filling station after robbery

One of the employees said the incident happened so fast that they did not even see the robber properly.  A security guard at the filling station, Nkgopolang Segwape, said the thug was wearing black clothes and his mouth was covered with a cloth. “Only his eyes were visible,” he said.

He told Mmegi that the suspect was tall and slender.  He said the suspect shouted for money after firing a shot.  The security guard said that the gunman went around the shop and fired more shots to scare people. After he got what he wanted, he nonchalantly stood by the door and thanked the cashiers before disappearing on foot. A few minutes later, the police and security systems patrol unit arrived and tried to track the thug but lost his trail.

The managers of the filling station told Mmegi that it was still too early to speak about the robbery. However, they confirmed that P5,000 was stolen during the robbery.  CID officers at Tlokweng Police Station, Assistant Superintendent Kenosi Tsaanang, declined to talk about the incident because they are still conducting investigations.
