Berry Heart heads for Ghana

The Songbirds For Change is a project that combines some of Africa’s female artists on creative undertaking. It is an initiative by Brand Woman Africa and Michelle McKinney Limited.
Berry Heart expressed that she leaves the country on Tuesday to go for a recording that they are scheduled to do in Accra. She is one of the six influential female artists set to record an album based on women’s issues.
The nominated artists are expected to write about pieces on social, emotional, professional and spiritual experiences of women, which will be delivered through their art.
The poet added that the recording is an effort that will be used as a build up towards the actual launch that will be in May.
She said that the album would be recorded under the guidance of Nigerian producer Charles Udoh.
Furthermore, Berry Heart who is Ambassador for United Nations Creative Arts Advisory Council and activist for women’s issues said that she has been invited as a result of her work. She pointed out that the Songbirds For Change addresses issues of gender-based violence by using artists from different countries to spread the message through their work that she believes will go a long way.
