Signed International has embarked on a talent search where auditions were held in a number of towns and villages.  Auditions were held in Gaborone, Lobatse, Serowe, Kanye, and Mahalapye where 10 contestants were selected to compete for the ultimate prize.  These include a cash prize and an acting contract with a reputable casting agency.

The reality series will give viewers a chance to see what goes during auditions, and takes viewers through the competition.  The whole process includes auditions through to eliminations, right up to the announcement of the winner.

Contestants will each week be given different scenes, with a panel of judges, giving feedback on their acting, and offering tips on how the aspiring actors can improve their skills.

The reality show promises to be a hit, based on the enthusiasm shown by the show producer, Johnson Otlaadisa, who in previous interviews praised acting hopefuls during auditions.

“After touring the country the crew at Signed International selected 10 of the best actors and actresses in Botswana.   These 10 have been trained and went head-to-head to compete for the P50,000 cash prize and the prestigious award of a contract to start a professional acting career under the management of one of the biggest casting agencies based in Johannesburg, South Africa,” Otlaadisa said. Otlaasisa said that it has been an exciting journey and the talent discovered makes all the effort it took to produce this show worthwhile.

“What you can definitely expect from this television show this season is seeing raw acting talent develop and blossom right in front of you to levels you never imagined,” he added.

Sponsors of the show include Ministry of Health (Safe Male Circumcision Programme), Brand Botswana, Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Culture, President Hotel, Energym, Health Studios, Lansmore Masa Square Hotel, and The Voice newspaper.
