First Division South battle heats up

Black Forest will seek to extend their lead as the race reaches the home straight while second placed Letlapeng, who were top for the better part of the season, are expected to come out with guns blazing against Mochudi Buffaloes at Siga Grounds on Sunday. Forest return to their favorite hunting ground at Wonder Sporting to play Rolling Boys on the same day.

A point separates Letlapeng and Forest. The rains experienced this week affected preparations for the games.

Forest coach, Martin Motswiri told Mmegi Sport that they did not train on Tuesday because of the rain. He said the mood is high in his camp and players know they must collect maximum points this weekend. He stated that he would be depending on his defence to win the match for him. He said Rolling Boys are easy to beat because they are weak at the back.

Rolling Boys coach, Wire Kaelo said they last met as a team last week after the 2-1 defeat to Gantsi Terrors.  He said they lost the match in the first half after failing to punish Terrors when they got chances.

He promised that last weekend’s result will not deter his side. He admits that the match against Forest will be tough and they will fight to win it. He said that if the Mmankgodi side wins the clash, he would declare them champions.

At Letlapeng, the coach, Thaloba Nthaga said they are on a mission to reclaim top spot.  He said that of late, they are struggling upfront and miss easy chances.

In other matches, Masitaoka play Black Peril at the Molepolole Sports Complex tomorrow while Prisons welcome Killer Giants at Wonder Sporting Ground. Modipane United make the long trip to Gantsi where Terrors lie in wait. Jwaneng Comets entertain Mogoditshane Fighters in their own backyard. Kick-off for all games is 4pm.
