Slizer's song to stir controversy

The song’s lyrics such as made it a game to bed other people’s wives leave nothing to the imagination.

Recent accusations flew against Slizer’s ex and fellow musician, Mlesho (Lesego Lefatshe) that he was having a fling with another popular female artist.

The 10-track album titled Bazooka will be out at the end of March.

She is aware the song will stir some controversy, but insists she has not mentioned any names in it.  She said that people should take it like any other song.

“This song is called Mmmh, as in getting amazed by someone. It basically talks about this young man who goes around snatching other people’s wives,” Slizer told Showbiz.

She features Mingo in the song.  She told Showbiz that she is ready for any reaction.

Mlesho said the song does not bother him at all as he is not having an affair with anyone’s wife.

“I cannot stop anyone from singing about me if they feel I am an interesting subject,” he said.

Slizer, who has risen to popularity in Zimbabwe, has also included a love song with Prince Musarurwa.

Her visits to the neighbouring country have left a trail of controversy.  Slizer last year told a Bulawayo newspaper that people would have to wait and see whether the supposed affair between she and Peter Moyo will blossom.

Her statements left many wondering whether she was still with her South African bodyguard hubby or not.

When asked about the issue yesterday, Slizer said she was not in a position to discuss the matter at the moment.  After meeting during one of her shows in South Africa the two had a child together.

Slizer said she was happy that her new album will match her dances.

She also worked with Zimbabwean guitarist Kudzi Kudzere, who has previously played for Franco. Slizer, popularly known for her dances, will introduce a new dance called ma-china in the album.

“I found the Chinese dances interesting.  We have taken it and fine-tuned it. So we will be introducing it to the people and I know they will like it,” she said.

Her last album Diwewewe did well in the market, with a five-star video.

She, however, feels the new offering surpass the last album’s standards.
