Heavy falls predicted for the week

Today, heavy falls of 50mm or more are expected in parts of Central and North East.

The rest of the country will however be partly cloudy with thundershowers.

Tomorrow 50mm rain or more in 24 hours is expected in parts of Southern, South East, Kgatleng, Kweneng, Gantsi, North East and Central districts.

The rest of the country will be cloudy and warm with some thundershowers. On Thursday, there will be heavy rain in Gantsi, Kgalagadi North, Southern, South East, Kgatleng, and Kweneng. Kgalagadi South, Ngamiland, Chobe, North East and Central will however be cloudy and warm with scattered thundershowers.

Meanwhile, rainfall records from the department show that Tutume McConnel received 155mm in 24 hours, while Goshwe Primary School got 150mm. Kalakamati Primary School recorded 100mm with Mabuwe Primary School in Nkange getting 90mm.

There have been heavy rains in many parts of the country with most areas registering over 80mm.
