Ill-health forces Setete to quit Rollers

Last week he was implicated in the ongoing scandal after ticket stubs and old web tickets were found in his office. This was after police raided the Rollers office as investigations intensified.

He was allegedly found with extra tickets that were unaccounted for from the Rollers-ECCO City Greens game played on December 21. The tickets were given out as back-up in anticipation that the game would attract a bigger crowd.

He has since stepped down and is now at home waiting for his chemotherapy sessions.

He said: “I was always going to stop work to attend chemo in April, so this has nothing to do with the tickets thing. We agreed it was better I stay home because of my health.”

Meanwhile, investigations into the ticket scam are going on. Indications are that more club and Premier League officials are likely to be implicated.

The scandal came in the wake of complaints by Santos that tickets were either being duplicated or fans were accessing extra tickets.
