O Tsididi is a song taken from Polao Ya Motho, which was released last year with tracks such as Sabliff and Ipicture. This time around, the controversy-ridden rapper looked no further than his botched teenage love experiences when writing the song. Having been heartbroken at the age of 16 while doing his Form Three, he claims he has never been in a relationship or fallen in love.

Loosely translated O Tsididi means, ‘You are cold’. “The song describes a state of decline in the elements that keep adoration between lovers alive,” ATI said. He has so far been working hard to ensure he reaches his target. “I have created awareness about its coming and continue to market its release on social media, radio and newspapers,” he told Showbiz.

Production of the video is also underway and ATI believes a high quality video will solidify his music. “Creativity in its utmost gesture,” he assuredly said. The song was produced by Lif Aman of Bazamele Records. Promotion of the single will continue in March with a launch event set for Selebi–Phikwe.

The show, pencilled in for March 29 in Area 2, has been dubbed ATI From Jail. Noello and Ozi F Teddy will be there with ATI. The album Polao ya Motho was conceptualised around the negatives and positives of everyday life and called for behavioural change.

ATI broke into the music industry a few years back through the popular music talent show My African Dream (MAD).

After an impressive run at MAD, he released Batho Bame, which enjoyed a lot of airplay in local radio stations and made him a regular feature in Botswana’s premier shows.

He then shot to glory in 2012 with his Ke Lekhete, which went on to be the most played song on local radio stations. The song was voted the best hip-hop track of the year and came close to winning him the Song of the Year accolade at the Botswana Musicians Union awards.

One of his 2013 highlights was putting up a five-star display at Big Brother Africa The Chase’s eviction night.
