The list also includes Rollers’ speedy winger, Sekhana Koko who returns to the team after a lengthy spell.

Koko has not been part of the team ever since he was controversially left out of the Zebras team that went to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

Butler had promised that he would call players who were currently on form. He also promised to make a major overhaul of the defence because he believed they were conceding silly goals.

Both Mompati Thuma and Ndiyapo Letsholathebe had, however, already retired from the team, leaving Oscar Ncenga, Edwin Olerile and Tshepo Motlhabankwe in the defence.

The three players have now been dropped for this game with about six new defenders called up.

BDF XI’s exciting left back, Otlantshekela Mooketsi has been rewarded for his sterling performances for his side. He joins other newcomers, Kaelo Kgaswane (Gaborone United), Agisanyang Ramaabya (Extension Gunners), Leutlwetse Tshireletso (Township Rollers), Osego Gaotewe (Gaborone United) as well as Gogontle Marumo (Unaio Flamengo Santos).

Ramaabya has found a new home at Gunners after failing to break into Rollers’ starting line-up and seems to be enjoying his game once again. Gaotewe has also proved to be one of the best performers in the league since joining GU at the beginning of the season. The young right back possesses good defensive skills and is a good reader of the game.

Tshireletso has been called up for the first time following his good performances at the heart of Rollers’ defence where he partners with Ncenga.

The other defenders called up are Musa Ohilwe (BMC), Moreetsi Mosimanyana (BDF XI) and Simisane Mathumo.

Mathumo was first called up by Stanley Tshosane but he has not been able to break into Rollers’ first team, with Obonye Moswate now the preferred first choice right back for Rollers. Moswate has, however, not been included in the team.

Apart from South Africa-based players, Ofentse Nato, Mogakolodi Ngele and Galabgwe Moyana, Butler has called up Dirang Moloi who is still fighting for his clearance from the Democratic Republic of Congo side, Don Bosco.

New players include Kabo Rasuping (GU), Senatla Molefhe (Santos) and Kelelelo Kgosimore (Gunners). Koko and Jackie Mothatego complete the list of midfielders.

The striking force comprises of Jerome Ramatlhakwana, Joel Mogorosi and Tebogo Sembowa. Surprise exclusions are Chiefs’ duo of Bonolo Fraizer and Lemponye Tshireletso.
