Thabiso Nashas express your vote flops .

For an event that was scheduled to kickoff at 2pm with 100 percent local entertainment it was disappointing for one to arrive at the venue hours later and still not spot one artist in sight. It was also hard to believe the event is indeed a serious one.  It so much resembled just an outing with many people relaxing and enjoying their choice of holy water. Initially, when the Showtime team arrived and asked about the event, the excuse given was that people chilling at the venue belonged to Notwane Club hence they requested for more time to relax leading to a delay.  Still the question that remains is if the club was not booked on time rather than keeping people waiting for the members to enjoy themselves first. With the line-up of artists including the likes of Dramaboi and A.T.I one would have hoped to see legions of fans attending, especially those 18-years-old and above who are eligible to vote packing up the place. The organisers said the event was not sponsored and did not receive any monetary assistance from the Independent Electoral Commission.

Showtime gave up the quest to cover the event at around 10pm without any sign of serious voter registration business. It was already many hours into the night that the event that should have started at 2pm with actual registration for the elections and a music a line up did not take off.  The whole affair would have cost the organisers P500,000 were it not that it was on a voluntary basis.
