Rasesa woman stabbed to death

According to Mochudi Station Commander Superintendent Simon Sitale, the suspect, also from Rasesa, fled from the scene in the dead woman's car, a Toyota RunX, along the A1 road

At Dikgonnye junction he collided with a long haulage truck bearing Botswana registration numbers, which caught fire. Its driver, a Namibian, was burnt beyond recognition.

'After stabbing the deceased with a sharp instrument the man fled in the deceased’s car, and attempted to commit suicide,' said Sitale.

'The car that he was driving is reported to have hit the long distance truck by its side, whereupon it (the truck) caught fire.

Sitale says police were able to trace the company that owns the truck as well as the dead man's family. The man was admitted at Princess Marina Hospital. Sitale said the suspect was likely to be charged on two counts- that of murder and causing death through reckless driving.

Sitale appealed to people to consult whenever they have differences, adding that committing murder does not solve anything, “but brings more problems'.
