beMOBILE delivers on branding promise

This season beMOBILE has been branding at every match venue except Francistown. But for the first time this season, beMOBILE branded the Francistown Stadium during the league match between BMC and hosts ECCO City Greens on Saturday.
The ball boys were also clad in green beMOBILE bibs instead of the orange-coloured ones they used to wear before the company began branding over the weekend.
The lack of branding in matches here this season suggested that the corporation might not be earning enough mileage for sponsoring the league. When approached last week about the lack of branding in Francistown, beMobile spokesperson Golekanye Molapise, who was unaware of the situation, promised that the pitch would be branded.
The company signed a three-year P24 million deal to sponsor the league in April 2011.
Meanwhile, ECCO City Greens mentor Atshele Molapi told Mmegi Sport after their match against BMC that he was happy with his newly acquired Ghanaian striker, Ishmael Amposah. The striker has so far scored two goals in two successive matches after the club signed him recently. “I am happy with the striker. Though he lacks match fitness he looks good,” he said.
Molapi also hailed the arrival of Oupa Kowa in the technical department. Kowa joined the team recently as assistant coach and sat for the first time on the bench for ECCO on Saturday.
“He is a good coach as evidenced by his track record and I also believe with his wealth of experience he will help the team improve its fortunes.
“I have been struggling to handle the squad because we have many players but with his assistance I believe things will change,” Molapi said. A furious BMC mentor Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare refused to field questions from the media after the match. Nare spent the second half of the match in the stands after he was given marching orders for using his mobile phone while sitting on the bench.
