Love Is Like A Falcon, It's in the Air!

Beaming in the usual intimacy colours the place bubbled in wine, soothing sounds and above all, happiness. The three-course meal was the cherry on top.

Pop musician Alex Jackson mesmerised with his amazing voice and lure massive attention. The young lad did cover songs for UB40’s Kingston town, Lionel Ritchie’s famous love song ‘Step on you’ and other romantic songs.

He was sharing the stage with other singers. The marketing manager of Falcon crest, Ruby Matlhabaphiri told ShowTime that they were really amazed at the turn out. “The number was more than what we expected and this year’s event was by far the best compared to other years,” she said.

Matlhabaphiri added that they made a twist to the original menu and added some food they have never served before. This she said came from the customers’ feedback.

“We had love, bit and forbidden fruit as our starter food while at the main dish, people had the choice of choosing between love memory which consisted of chicken roulade with creamy mushrooms and pepper corn sauce and the other dish was tender bits which composed of beef in a crispy puff served with red wine sauce. For desserts we had chocolates minutes and honey yogurt coolies,” she said.

Speaking later to the couple that won the best-dressed award, they told ShowTime that they randomly picked their clothes and realised that it matched the occasion. The couple won themselves a four-night accommodation at Falcon crest. The Monitor spotted another excited couple that could not keep their hands from each other.

Lebogang and Michael Raadietla says they have been married for more than six years now. The couple says they always celebrate valentines but this was their first time coming to Falcon crest.

“We really enjoyed ourselves although we were a bit sad when we did not win the best-dressed couple but overall everything was well organised especially the food,” said Lebogang.

The couple pointed out that the secret to long lasting marriage is patience and trusting. They advised married couples to always make time for each other so as to remind themselves how they first met. They said, “Every marriage and relationship has its ups and downs but how the two of you solve those challenges is what would make you a great couple,”
