French newspaper fuels Obama, Beyonce 'affair' rumours

Photographer Pascal Rostain believes that the news of the high-profile affair will run in the Washington Post, who denies this completely, said Time Entertainment.

Rumours of an affair between the American president and the superstar singer- both of whom are married- were first made on Europe 1 radio station this morning, reported the Daily Mail.

Rostain’s comments were published by Le Figaro, a reputable French newspaper.

“You know, at this time, in the United States, there is something big that is happening. I’ll go out tomorrow in the Washington Post — we can say that it is not the gutter press– an alleged affair between President Barack Obama and Beyoncé.”

The Washington Post said that they will be publishing no such report, with its spokeswoman Kris Coratti saying the paper had no information other than that they remained friends.

She added the paper had received a number of calls. ‘It’s kind of crazy how fast these rumours spread,’ she added.

A spokeswoman for Beyoncé dismissed the claim as “absurd”, said Metro News.

President Obama is an open fan of Beyoncé Knowles as well as her rapper husband Jay Z, real name Sawn Carter, and they have served as fundraisers for his presidential campaigns.

Beyoncé sang the anthem for Obama’s inauguration into his second term as president, as well as performing at Obama’s wife Michelle’s 50th birthday party. (Timeslive.co.za)
