First Division South chairperson, Tariq Babitseng told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he visited the factory where the kits are being printed and he is impressed with progress. He said the kits should be ready for distribution by next week.

Babitseng said it is a lengthy process to complete the manufacture and processing of branded kits. He said during his visit to the factory, what was left was the printing of numbers and Debswana logo on the kits.

He said the process cannot be completed quickly, but looking at the time that has been taken, the printers are on track. He said they are yet to meet with Debswana to decide on banners. However, he said there is no cause for alarm because it does not take a lot of time to produce banners.

Meanwhile, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Keith Masters has said he is not aware of the progress in securing branded kits for the First Division.

He stated that the kits are still at the printers and he cannot state when they will be distributed to the clubs.

Away from uniform saga, the fight for promotion to the Premier League in the southern continued over the weekend.  Ramotswa side, Letlapeng lead the charge with 28 points four clear of Black Forest. Rolling Boys are third with 20 points, same as Jwaneng Comets who has an inferior goal difference. Killers Giants are a point behind.  Molepolole based Masitaoka are languishing at the bottom of the log with eight points from 13 matches. The side has scored two goals only and let in 10.
