MAUN: Maun Senior Secondary School authorities hope to catch Satanists who have been performing mind-boggling rituals at the school around exam time in the last couple of years, including last year.
In an effort to catch the culprits behind the horrid events the school management has put up an advert in the newspapers inviting contractors to set up CCTV cameras at the troubled school.
First there were allegations of teacher-student relationships and then eight classroom blocks were burned down after which some dismembered dog parts were found in the school classrooms.
Now the education authorities in Maun think CCTV cameras will help in preventing the sordid events at the 'school of horror'. Asked by The Monitor about the advert, Acronnews Maseko, Ngamiland Education Director said: 'I told the school management not to make the advert public. This was supposed to be a secretive operation. 'We want to stop those responsible for the happenings at the school once and for all.' Maseko however took solace in the fact that the advert may sensitise those responsible that their actions will be caught on camera. Efforts to reach the school headmaster, Maunge Mafoko, were futile at the time of going to press.
However, by the look of things, Maun Senior Secondary School management think the CCTV will help in stopping the goings-on at the school. The school invites tenders for the 'installation and commissioning of wireless CCTV cameras in the school administration block and academic areas.'
