DJ Laninah hosts regional stars for video shoot

p and coming female DJ, Laninah Benz will host the video shoot for the collaborated Magitare House Jam next month.
Benz teamed up with the trail blazing Bulawayo-based dance and music outfit Kwabatsha for her first single whose video will be shot on February 15 in Gaborone.
The song is making waves in neighbouring Zimbabwe and gradually making inroads locally. She is excited about working with the 23-member dance outfit in the project that also has South African producer Tabeka Siphe.
Benz said she was excited about the project especially the exposure she is getting from Siphe and the Bulawayo group.
'It (the project) is very close to my heart. I am working with people from other countries and I am learning a lot from both sides. It's very humbling,' she said.
She added that Kwabatsha's work ethic was an inspiration to her.
'They are hardworking people and they have goals. They are really talented.'
Kwabatsha, whose initial focus was traditional genre, stormed into the music scene in 2012. She took music lovers by surprise with their single Bhatshi, a house music solo that set the showbiz industry alight.
Kwabatsha Dance Company co-founder, Trust Madolo Gumbo confirmed the Botswana video shoot. He originally composed the song Magitare.
'We are shooting the video in Botswana. The video has a groovy set-up and the script was done by Tebeka Siphe from Cape Town,' said Gumbo.
The video will be Benz's first and she hopes they will do an excellent job.
After shooting the video, the group will embark on a promotional tour of Botswana, covering places such as Mahalapye and Palapye from February 28.
Magitare is a groovy jam that has gone viral in Internet music stores.
