Madandume warned Gakenaope Titose that if he misses court again without any valid reasons he would be jailed until the completion of the case.
Titose and five others are charged with killing Opatikilwe Ntwaetsile at Mabesekwa village in the Central District on November 5 last year.
Prosecutor Boikhutso Sekadima had earlier told the court that the accused missed his last mention on November 26 in 2013.
He told the court that investigations into the matter were still continuing.
“Two Zimbabweans who are charged together with the accused are in custody because they do not have passports while their Batswana counterparts are out on bail.
“They will appear in court on February 4,” said Sekadima.
Titose told the court that he missed the last mention because he did not have money to come to court and because he did not know that he was supposed to come to court on that day.
Madandume told him that his reasoning was weak, but she nevertheless gave him the benefit of the doubt and not revoke his bond, but on warning that failure to keep court appearance would lead to his remand.
