According to Mascom public relations officer Tebogo Lebotse, the company first responded to the call to provide shelter to the homeless in 2010 when seven families in Ramatlabaki were housed. Last year, said Lebotse, the mobile company built five more houses in Molepolole.

It is not only individual families Mascom is targeting. Lebotse said that they would also be handing over five church buildings in Mogoditshane before the end of the year.  She stated that the company undertook the Tsolamosese project after approached by the Mogoditshane/Thamaga sub council about the great need of houses in Mogoditshane area.

Receiving the houses, the sub-district's principal social and communications officer, Malebogo Rakanyane stated that they had been working with Mascom and other stakeholders to provide shelter to the needy.

The beneficiaries were advised not to sell their plots.
