Three Sebele horror accident victims still unidentified

Broadhurst police were yesterday still withholding the names of the identified victims until their relatives are informed.  Superintendent Bonosi Molapise yesterday said: “Even though five of the victims have been identified by their relatives, three are still unidentified and the only person who survived the accident is still in intensive care.”

However, Mmegi has learnt that the female driver of the VW, Lemogang Pillar, 21, who was a law student at the University of Botswana was driving in the wrong direction.  Police are still puzzled why she was driving in the wrong direction as there were no skid marks to show how the car jumped lanes.

Molapise said: “We can only talk about the findings of the investigations after it is done  but not now,” said Molapise. Meanwhile, on Tuesday night a passenger in a minibus suffered serious injuries when it was involved in an accident with a Nissan SUV along the Western Bypass at 4pm, according to Molapise.

Molapise said the Nissan SUV hit the minibus from behind and both vehicles overturned. There were no fatalities in the accident.  The Nissan driver was alone while the minibus was transporting nine people including the driver.
