Entreprenuer eyes booming business from diamantaires

Rosewell Chauffeurs Managing Director Sukoluhle Mafisa says the response to their business, which opened in January, has been overwhelming.
She attributes their success to the quality of service they offer their clientele. She said the quality of cars they use to transport their clients around town is top class.
“September and October were very busy months,” she stated.
Rosewell’s service charges range from P60 to P3,000, depending on the type of car the client wants. The company’s fleet consists of luxury vehicles, amongst them Mercedes Benz S-class, Range Rovers and budget-friendly Corollas.
“Currently we are coping with the demand. Our vehicles are always readily available,” she said.
She noted that they want to increase their fleet early next year, by adding 10 more vehicles to their fleet.
Mafisa said they started seeing diamond dealers when Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) started operating. The ODC is a state-owned company that independently auctions government’s share of Debswana’s production, presently pegged at 12 %.
“Diamond dealers are super customers. They pay well for good service,” she said. She said that they work hard at building a strong relationship with clients to ensure that they get repeat business, adding that their drivers are well trained and motivated to do their work.
“Our drivers are fluent in English and adhere to the highest standards when offering service to our clients,” she stated.
In two years time, Mafisa said, they will take their operations across Southern Africa, through franchising. She said their engagement during the state visit of the Canadian Governor to Botswana, had made quite an impression.
Rosewell Chauffeurs, which operates from the country’s prime hotels and lodges such as Masa Centre, the Grand Palm, Phakalane and Town Lodge, offers 24 hour on-call chauffeur, airport and hotel chauffeur, city day chauffeur, limo services, out of town chauffeur, road show chauffeur, restaurant and club chauffeur, weddings and events chauffeur and wildlife resort area chauffeur.
