The fight has caused a rift so ugly the ultimate winner of the primary elections will assuredly not enjoy the support of the other camp.

Some members have reported Raletobana to the BDP Central Committee, praying that he be disqualified from contesting primary elections because his name does not appear on the voters’ roll.

Although Raletobana carries a life membership of the BDP, he was shocked that his membership card was reported to have expired.

He confirmed that his name was not on the voters roll.

He however, hoped that he would be on the corrected voters’ roll.

Raletobana is accused of printing T-shirts and banners as promotional material for his campaign, a charge he has denied.

Some branch committee members have written to the Electoral Board complaining about Raletobana’s alleged transgressions.

On the other hand, Raletobana’s supporters accuse some councillors who support Masilo of campaigning beyond their boundaries.

Rules and regulations of Bulela-Ditswe allow councillors to only campaign within their areas. It warns that one can be disqualified for campaigning beyond the boundary line.

Masilo has confirmed that there is animosity between their two camps. He said the branch committee has since taken up the issue with the Central Committee.

Mmegi has established that the two camps have started holding secret meetings.
