Tonota FC, TASC share spoils

The game started on a high tempo, although both sides looked somewhat rusty and struggled to combine. TASC created the first opportunity after 10 minutes when Mothata Lucas burst into the Tonota FC box, but his shot flew across the face of goal. At the other end, Ditiro Ditoro came close for Tonota when he slashed in a powerful effort that was saved by the superb Tebatso Basiyi.

In the 35th minute, Lorato Morula won the ball in the Tonota FC box and powered a shot that hit the post with the goalkeeper struggling.

Sebonda Seadebula, as Tonota FC is affectionately known then had a good opportunity when a corner fell to the towering Thabo Ngake who struck a volley with some venom, but Tsaone Moswate was up to the task, making an excellent block in the TASC goal.

Action came thick and fast after the break with both sides keen to attack at every opportunity. But the many chances created went begging.

When the heavens opened in the last 20 minutes of the game, TASC struggled but their opponents had no problems with the pitch. However, home advantage could not help Tonota FC to find the winner.
