Calling on Pius XII, UBBS and UBLS Alumni Reunion

The purpose of the meeting is to share information on the 3rd Alumni Reunion scheduled for the Easter weekend April 9 to 13, 2009 in Gaborone. (The first and second reunions took place in Cape Town and Lesotho in 2007 and 2008 respectively).

The Reunion includes all Pius XII, UBBS and UBLS alumni irrespective of their periods of study. It also includes alumni who came to Roma from South Africa, Zimbabwe and other countries. The reunions are an informal arrangement, organised by former alumni. There is yet no institutional backing for this effort. It is simply a gathering of individuals who want to travel down memory lane and revive and preserve the academic, emotional and cultural ties that were built so many years ago at Roma, which many of us still hold on to very fondly. Who would forget City Mafefs and Mzala's?

The reunion activities will take place over the entire Easter weekend, with externals arriving on Thursday April 9th and departing on Monday April 13th. Activities usually include a 'student body meeting', an excursion to interesting sounds and sights, formal and informal lunches and dinners.

The meeting of January 21, 2009 will serve as a planning and information forum. All concerned are urged to attend to facilitate inclusion of their inputs. We also hope that with your cooperation, this phase of the reunion will become one of the most successful and well attended. Please note the details again:

Directions to the Staff Lounge can be obtained from security personnel at the main gate on the national stadium side. If all else fails, ask for directions to the staff bar!
