Tsvangirai leaves Gaborone after meeting Khama

He said that he was meeting Khama to discuss bilateral and regional issues. The two leaders talked about the stalemate on the appointments of Governor of Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and Attorney General.

Madisa said that Khama and Tsvangirai discussed the challenges and achievements of Zimbabwe in the implementation of the Global Partnership Agreement (GPA) signed between Mugabe and Tsvangirai in September last year. The agreement was meant to cool off tensions between political parties in the country after controversial presidential elections.

Only Botswana state media had access to the meeting between Khama and Tsvangirai.  Madisa did not want to be drawn into discussing why other media houses were not invited to what was supposed to be an official visit.
