Premiere Emcee comes to Botswana

Channel O, in association with Yarona FM, The Voice newspaper and Big Dawg Productions, brings Africa's Premiere Emcee competition to Botswana.
Emcee Africa is a unique TV project focused on profiling and exposing the un-earthed Hip Hop talent across Africa, and in this exciting initiative Emcee Africa will visit five African countries - Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa - in search of the best all round Emcee who has what it takes to 'Step to the Mic'. The first country to be shot for the TV show is Botswana, and the Emcee Africa crew will be in Botswana on April 18.
Anyone believes they have what it takes to freestyle, battle and move a crowd, can enter for a chance to rap as Africa's Premier Emcee. The title comes with a whooping USD 10 000, bragging rights, plus a chance to get on a track alongside African hip-hop royalty. Those interested can register at www.channelo.tv. The show has got all the drama, conflicts, hot lyrics, hyped performances, high-energy free styling and intense battles to keep Africa locked. The show is hosted by none other than the first lady of African Hip-hop Miss Lee Kasumba who adds flavor and credibility to the show.
The show, which is broadcast to over 46 African countries, promises to be a thriller.
On the same day revellers will be treated to a night of fun, as some of the top local and South African DJs and personalities will be performing. Big Dawg Productions has teamed up with Channel O's Emcee Africa, for the event, which will feature, Lee Kasumba (Yfm S. A), Mr O (Yarona fm), Kelz, O'Neal (RB2 fm), Zeus, and Oscar B. The party titled 'The Roc Boys Party Hosted by Lee Kasumba (Yfm) and Channel O Emcee Africa' is scheduled to begin at 21 hours and run until late. TV crew from Channel O Emcee Africa will be in the house. Dress code for the evening will be strictly formal (No sneakers or T-shirts).
'Considering the show will be screened across Africa we wanted to show the best Botswana has, as we connect people in a truly social and entertaining environment,' Tshepo 'Rox' Sikwane, Big Dawg Productions Botswana, Managing Director explained.
He also hinted that there will be plenty give-a ways from cell phones, T-shirts and other goodies.
VIP guests will include Miss Botswana top 10 contestants and there will be another VIP section outside to accommodate 50 people, sponsored by Vawter.
