Modubule Has Himself To Blame
| Monday April 27, 2009 00:00
I will focus on Modubule because he is my MP and will probably not be in the coming months - post elections. After getting all the limelight as Leader of Opposition (temporarily) a few years ago in 2003/4, the man started behaving like he owned the BNF or the party owed him something.
After winning the 2004 election, Modubule became big headed. With praises he got from the press, particularly Mmegi, he started behaving like a movie star. The man forgot the fact that he was a BNF member through his PUSO party. He got out control and started to show contempt for the BNF leadership. This has prompted suspicions amongst party members, including myself, that the man could be working for the ruling party, may be at a wage. Who knows?
Modubule's head grew bigger and bigger until 2008 when he then wanted to take control of the BNF. He banna! What is wrong with this man?
Just because he is getting overwhelming support from the press, Modubule thought that he was untouchable and used every opportunity to bite the hand that fed him (BNF). He used every newspaper to ridicule the BNF. This is unacceptable. If you don't agree with what your organization stands for it is better to leave and join others. In Modubule's case it is simple and straightforward - he should have returned to his home - PUSO. The man could not do that because he knows that without the BNF he is dead and now he is running around causing confusion in the BNF. My advise to him is that he should leave the BNF alone and go to his party which according to him is more organized than the BNF. 'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen,' is my advice to him.
Modubule must just go! His time at the BNF is up and it is time his 'organized' party stands on its own. The BNF president Otsweletse Moupo did the right thing to expel this man. Moupo could be wrong sometimes, but what he did is what any leader would do when faced with selfish individuals like Modubule. Bye bye Mr Modubule and enjoy your life as PUSO president
