Superintendent Reuben Mphoeng of Tonota Police said that the man's body is at a private mortuary in Francistown. He said that someone who claims to know the man is assisting them in locating his relatives in Zimbabwe. Mphoeng revealed that this is the second train accident in Tonota since January. However, he said there are situations where the families of the deceased foreigners say they have no money to collect and bury their loved ones. This forces the police to involve the District Commissioner, Embassy and High Commissions to bury the deceased persons in Botswana.

Orapa Letlhakane Mines Hospital attains accreditation
The Orapa and Letlhakane Mines (OLM) Hospital has been accredited by the Council for Health Services Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA), a quality assurance body for health service providers. The certification recognises the high level of service provided by a hospital, comparable to other international facilities of the same level. The mines general manager Seb Sebetlela noted that being certified by COHSASA is an assurance that the service offered by the hospital meets international quality standards.

'OLM Hospital not only caters for employees of the mines, but is also a referral facility for our satellite areas, and as management of the mines, it is our responsibility to ensure that the health of these people is accorded appropriate value and care,' Sebetlela stated. COHSASA is made up of medical practitioners and its accreditation criteria are based on recurrent medical research conducted in medical universities. Its systems are accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQUA). Orapa and Letlhakane Mines Hospital was first accredited by COHSASA in 2002.

STD Seven certificates to be delayed
The Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) has said that the certificates for the 2007 examinations cycle for Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) and Junior Certificate (JCE) will be delayed. 'This is because the process of designing new certificates with the new BEC logo and other improvements in the security of the certificates took longer than anticipated,' a statement from BEC says. The certificates are expected to be ready by December this year.
