Establish motive for soldier’s murder

The commissioned officer was recently found lying in a pool of blood lifeless at his home in Molepolole. Therefore, his demise shouldn’t be treated as another statistic, either. As detectives look to solve the murder case, they should dig deeper for answers and leave no stone unturned in establishing the motive for this killing which seems like action movie execution style. There seem to be more to this case than simply meets the eye especially that the deceased’s attackers had previously left him in a near death situation with a slit throat about three weeks ago. His killer(s) it seems were interested in eliminating him once at the first hit.
God might have given the senior military officer an opportunity to tell his story by allowing him to escape death by a whisker. Little did he know that more attacks were lined up for him. Reports suggest that at the time of the first occurrence, the deceased had reportedly given a stranger a lift after a night outing that had terribly gone wrong. After incurring serious injuries, Atshabeng reportedly managed to drive himself to a military clinic whereupon at the entrance he just collapsed and was lucky to get emergency treatment. This miraculous escape shocked many given the state of his injuries. Just when everyone thought he was steadily recovering from the first horrible attack, the worst has now befallen him-losing his precious life. The second fatal attack happened just at the man’s doorstep further reflecting the intentions and bravery of the attackers who executed the painful plan with maximum precision.
This time around, the attackers hit the deceased from the back ending the life that was on its steady recovery. Both attacks raise suspicions suggesting that the attackers had all the time of their lives to execute their plan. The attackers knew what they were doing and must have placed themselves at the right place and right time to execute their mission. At least the investigators will have to use some of the obvious traits in profiling the possible hitmen.
The killers seemingly had an idea of the deceased’s movements, his strengths and weaknesses as a senior military man and his plans for most days. It must have been people very close to him or at least fed with the deceased’s daily plans. Most importantly, the killer(s) seemed content with using a sharp instrument to attack rather than shooting. Maybe it would be important for the military to also launch parallel investigation to that of the Botswana Police Service in order to help get to the bottom of the matter as it seems there is a lot to the murder case.
