Jungle Kings target next season for honours

The Jungle Kings played to a 0-0 draw against Orapa United on Saturday and remained within the top two bracket on the log standings.
They have so far collected seven points from three matches.
Head coach, Tony Serumola, said they will not put themselves under any unnecessary pressure to win the league this season, but will thrive to remain competitive enough to finish in a respectable position.
“We have a youthful squad, most of them are still learning. Most of them are from the development side,” he told the media after the game.
“I am happy because coming from the development side and go straight into a starting line up in the elite league is good progress. These youngsters have the speed we need going forward so that we can finish in a respectable position.”
Serumola added that only if they can compete this season and finish in a good position, they will then challenge for honours next season.
He said the point collected and keeping a clean sheet against Orapa United was a good result for his young charges.
Serumola, however, admitted starting the game on a lower note particularly in the midfield.
“We were careless and gave away possession in the midfield. In the second half, we realised that Orapa United had slow fullbacks. “We then introduced some speedy wingers and they did well although we didn’t manage to get the goal,” he said.
Meanwhile, Orapa United interim coach, Kentse Motlhale noted that their only let down was failing to penetrate Police XI's defence to get the much needed goal.
He said what is needed now is one win and everything will fall into place. The Ostriches are winless in three games, losing one while the other two games ended in stalemate.
