Matebele, Prisons face early danger

Matebele are currently sitting at the bottom of the league table after three games and are yet to record a single point. To make situation worse, out of three matches played so far, they are yet to score a single goal. The team has also conceded three goals thus far. On Saturday, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to new comers, Enesia in Francistown. Once a relatively decent side in the elite league, Matebele now face the dangers of fighting relegation early on the in the season.
At the end of last season, they were reportedly offering their status in exchange for money but the negotiations with potential suitors allegedly did not materialise. They are now facing a daunting task of recovering for an early season slump.
The fortunes were different for the home side, as Enesia have done relatively so far.
They have played two matches, collecting four points in the process.
Their Premier League debut started off with a draw before they registered their first ever win in the elite league against Matebele.
They are currently sitting at position four with four points from two games. Premier League returnees, Prisons XI, are also finding it tough early on. Sitting at position 15, they are also yet to record a single point from three games.
They have scored only one goal so far, conceding four in the process. This past weekend they were away to Sua Flamingoes where they lost 1-0.
Jwaneng Galaxy are on position 14 but yet to play a match following their involvement in the CAF Confederations Cup in the last two weeks.
Sua Flamingoes have shot to the summit of the league table after their win over Prisons XI. They have so far registered two victories and a draw, accumulating seven points in the process. Police XI are still on position two with six points, but have a game in hand.
Mochudi Centre Chiefs registered their first victory this past weekend, beating Nico United 2-0. They are now on position eight with three points from two games.
Their first match this season ended in a defeat at the hands of Extension Gunners. TAFIC also registered their first win of the season this past weekend against Orapa United.
