'Machine' expected to take over Zebras role

The Zebras were left without a coach following the resignation of Morena Ramoreboli this week, with the South African returning to his homeland to take up a position as an assistant coach of Bafana Bafana.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is expected to make an official announcement following recommendations from its technical committee, headed by Tico Kamati.

Nthaga is currently the head coach of the national Under-23 side, as well as FNB Premiership side Tonota FC.

Pontsho ‘Piro’ Moloi and Wilshere Seabo are expected to remain in their positions as assistant coaches, with the Zebras due to report to camp on Sunday.

The first assignment in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers is an away match against Libya on September 24, before Botswana hosts Tunisia in the return fixture on September 28.
