Exiting: Gabaraane

According to a statement from Fairground Holdings, Gabaraane’s tenure focused on advancing the organisation’s mandate in Botswana’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) sector through collaboration, strategic partnerships, organisational development and long-term planning.

A key milestone was the development of the Fairground Holdings Masterplan, which provides a long-term framework for the development and transformation of the organisation and its facilities.

“The masterplan positions Fairground Holdings to respond to evolving customer expectations and emerging opportunities within the MICE, hospitality and tourism sectors,” the statement says.

The company said Gabaraane also used collaboration and strategic partnerships to augment its capabilities and address capacity gaps, with the approach extending beyond flagship platforms such as the Botswana Consumer Fair.

She also focused on strengthening the management team, leadership capability and employee understanding of the organisation’s mandate and strategic direction.

Reflecting on her tenure, Gabaraane said: “It has been a privilege to lead Fairground Holdings over the past eight years.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside a committed team and for the support of our Board, shareholders, customers and partners throughout this journey.”

She said she concludes her tenure with confidence in the foundation built and in the future of Fairground Holdings.
