MAINTENANCE ARTISANS

Ausdrill Mining Surface (AMS) has been in operation in Africa since 1993. Initially started in Ghana, AMS has expanded its

operations over the years into other countries in West Africa and now, Southern Africa. In line with an opportunity that

has presented itself in our Botswana operations, we are seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates

to join our team. These positions will be based at the Motheo Copper Project, located in Gantsi in Botswana. We are

actively seeking to recruit several experienced mining personnel in the following position:

l Installation of parts or components and

commissioning of equipment as per set engineering

standards

l Assist the Supervisor daily in the monitoring of

equipment application and operation and report any

deviations for correction.

l Undertaking tasks assigned safely, in recognition and

application of Health Safety Environment (HSEQ)

standards in all maintenance activities in order to

eliminate risks and environmental impact.

Job Requirements

l 4 years Apprenticeship with an NCC qualification

l At least 2 years practical experience as an Artisan in a

dynamic industry

l Must have a valid class B driver’s license.

l Heavy Plant Mechanic – Drills

l Heavy Plant Mechanic – Diggers

l Heavy Plant Mechanic – CAT

l Auto Mechanic

l Auto Electrician

l Refrigeration Mechanic

Job Summary

Artisans shall be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor,

the incumbents will be responsible for the following:

l Carry out maintenance of plant & equipment as

stipulated in the relevant maintenance procedures,

statutory and domestic regulations, and in

accordance with OEM’s specifications.

l Carry out daily inspections and submit reports to

the Supervisor or planning section so that proper

planning can be carried out, and immediately

rectifying faults or deviations that require urgent

attention.

l Change or replace equipment components to OEM

recommended component change out standards,

and testing and commissioning of components after

installation
