Govt Adverts do not convey much information

Take Friday 31/10/08 Mmegi,

*Job advert Principal Chemist. Address to which applications are to be submitted not specified .  Salary scale D 3 P 156612 -P172 902 per annum and leave  days are specified. One then has to apply rare sense and deduct ,  post is at Geological Survey P/Bag 14 Lobatse that is the address to write to in application.

*DPSM advert. 5 vacancy circulars not standardized Deputy Director ( Regional Operations), Chief Veterinary Officer . Then next to the job title E 2. and then LEAVE 30 working days BENEFITS are specified. What is E 2 or as in advert of
Deputy Permanent F 2 , what is F 2?
l*Then Ministry of Agriculture Crop Production Salary scales set out and the leave days, benefits and so on.
There are other adverts of the Government and when one compares these adverts to those of say private companies which do not specify salary scale or benefits until they have their fish, adverts in same paper , one realizes there is 'something' amiss 'kwa Rra Goromente' .

DPSM are on a train wagon about standards in the public service now if they cannot even advertise in a communicative and intelligent fashion?

Anyway I guess it is something to reflect on and it goes to confirm that the Government Employment brigade have ascended to the hierarchy having degrees of all sorts and even Masters but they are not able to master the most simple and basic.

May be the standards to be followed should embody dismissal for shoddy work.
