Investigators are threatening me – Accused traditional doctor

Kebaleboge Ntsebe, who is a traditional doctor, made the allegations before court today when the matter came for a status update. Ntsebe faces a single count of murder for Barulaganye alongside Moagi Letsholo, Lefty Kosie, and her husband Outlwile Aston. It is alleged that her husband, Outlwile, had ordered a hit on her. After killing her, the accused are said to have used the victim’s blood to write a message that reads ‘277 die’ on her bedroom wall.
Seizing the moment before Judge Oteng Motlhala, when asked if she had anything to say, Ntsebe told the court she had some issues she needed to get off her chest. “I have an issue about threats I’m receiving from investigators doing this case. When they talk with me, they ask me if I want to save other people’s lives rather than my children,” she said.
Ntsebe said she is failing to understand what it is that both the investigators and prosecutors want from her, as she has told them everything she knows.
“I don’t know what they want me to say because I know I’m supposed to say what I know before the courts,” she said.
The traditional doctor alleged that the latest threat she received was from Prosecutor Seeletso Ookeditse just last Friday.
“On Friday, Ookeditse said to me she knows that I was not at the crime scene and her last word to me was that the three other accused persons will be acquitted and it will only be me left alone; my kids will be left alone and suffer,” the traditional doctor said.
The accused said this was not the first time she was vilified, as she recalled being badly treated when she was only two months pregnant back in July 2022.
In response to these damning allegations, Prosecutor Ookeditse said the accused might not have understood their message well when she was communicating with the IO and herself.
“We are not forcing the accused to say anything that is not the truth. What the IO was doing was merely seeking clarity from her,” she said. Moreover, Ookeditse said the accused has provided a statement, and she has nothing to worry about.
“She has written a statement. It is not a secret that we are engaged in talks with her, and she has made a statement. We will talk to the attorney she will choose if she is interested in those talks,” Ookeditse said. Judge Motlhala also advised the accused to take up the matter with her chosen attorney as she rejected the pro deo counsel chosen for her by the state. Kosie is also set to engage, as he indicated he went missing in action on him. Outlwile, on the other end, had nothing to say whilst Letsholo refused to appear before court.
The case is set to continue on November 4. Case continues.
