Success is embedded on that wait- be patient

The only comfort in it is the believe, trust and hope that whatever one wants will eventually fall into place. It demands so much endurance. Many things fallout, life becomes so miserable and tasteless. Patience is the good- natured tolerance of delay or incompetence. As miserable as we may be enduring it, it is a character builder and makes one fit and proper to survive their next phase or level of life. Patience is in everything. For a seed to become a fully grow tree, it undergoes a tremendous level of waiting. As the seed breaks and takes a seedling shape, root forming, there is an element of patience. For an expecting mother to finally hold her beloved infant on her hands, she must endure a good quality of patience, spanning 34 weeks of pregnancy.

Therefore, nothing takes its prized shape without the wait. A degree demands patience of going to school, even when one does not feel like it, tolerating the most annoying lecturer and committing to study at awkward hours. During the time of patience, there is so much masked anxiety, the fear and worry of things not eventually turning out the way one had expected. Moreover, if things take a long time to formulate, one may end up feeling powerless and helpless and this may ultimately drive them into a space of unrealised anger and resentment. The only way one can beat this situation is to maintain a positive character, inspire and motivate themselves especially on the beautiful outcomes anticipated.

Relationships need patience to thrive. When you have a conflict, do not be quick to abandon the relationship and jump onto a new one. Either waits to see if the dust between you and your partner to settle then resolve the elephant in the room. Sometimes you will find out that you have forgone something very special and divine with trouble and heartache. Patience will reveal the true reality of matters challenging us and even give us an opportunity to bond stronger than before since we are now acquainted with certain challenges of life. The next time, we will know how to react against such. That business needs your patience. It will not profit as soon as you desire, it will take some time, not known to you. Even if the customers do not act like they recognise it, you must continue do what needs to be done, service that one client like you have a hundred, with humility and respect.

Your partner may be angry that you have quit your formal employment for a business which bears no fruit, you are struggling to fend for your children since there is no money coming from the business. Just be patient with them, one day they will understand the vision and support it and in no time, the business will flourish. During such harsh times, patience calms and soothes your emotions especially when you know where you are going, that is, have a clearly stated goal or vision. The decisions that you will make, work together for the good of the vision and your character. When you exercise patience to its utmost best, your communication will be positively impactful because of the self- control you will execute throughout the process.

Patience is key and it is a quality worth being embraced by everyone, the young and old, poor and rich. It can only be effective in your life if you have a solid goal to chase, being aware of your surroundings and showing gratitude at all times. For every mistake you commit, you ought to reframe it as a learning opportunity and truly forgive yourself for doing it. Move on with the lesson cherished at heart. Patience is for those who focus on the long term goal rather than immediate ones.

It helps with the development of perseverance and resilience in our life journeys. So, be patient in all you indulge in and all the best. *Kealeboga Ronald Ngwigwa is an Author, Columnist, Trainer, Radio Feature Presenter, Motivational Speaker, and an Entrepreneur.
