For generations, mayonnaise has been the quiet, dependable sauce of the family menu. It is a true comfort food, we assumed the wheel could not be redesigned, that the soft, tangy baseline of our shared upbringing had reached its evolutionary peak.

It was a homestead staple, as permanent and predictable as the morning sun. Yet, true innovation often comes not from replacing what we love, but from understanding how a single nudge can completely shift our perspective.

Hinds has quietly disrupted this domestic comfort, proving that even the most deeply rooted kitchen traditions have room to grow, breathe, and surprise us with the introduction of their NEW Mayo Sprinkles line.

This new range introduces five distinct flavor profiles packed into unassuming little sachets, each one designed to completely rewrite the rules of the condiment aisle.

The lineup reads like a bunch of cravings: Burger, Curry, Garlic & Onion, Herb & Spice, and Smokey Chilli. These are not subtle, dustings of flavour; they are intensely concentrated packets built to deliver a profound taste experience that catches you completely off guard.

The mechanics of using them are beautifully simple and deeply satisfying. You take a single sachet, stir it into exactly half a cup of classic or tangy NOLA mayonnaise, and watch the familiar, creamy white base transform into a vibrant, complex vehicle for flavour.

The magic lies in how this simplicity invites us to rethink every application we previously took for granted. From a bowl of golden, hot chips to a simple midday sandwich, these blends offer a sudden, joyful upgrade to the everyday routine.

Amongst all the ways for this new condiment revolution, none feels more fitting or more deserving of a glow up than the humble coleslaw.

In many homes, cabbage has suffered from a reputational slump, occasionally relegated to a predictable January staple when budgets are tight and creativity runs low.

Because cabbage is inexpensive and remarkably resilient, it is easy to forget that it is also a culinary powerhouse.

It is a vegetable that carries an impressive array of health benefits, offering a crisp, refreshing crunch that cuts through heavy meals and brings a vibrant energy to any plate.

Coleslaw is the ultimate side dish. It demands very little from your wallet but gives back immensely in versatility.

It is just as comfortable sitting next to a steaming mound of pap or a pile of light, pillowy dumplings as it is tucked inside a gourmet burger or paired with a Sunday seven colour rice feast. It is delicious even on its own, a crunchy salad that bridges the gap between different textures.

The true potential of this ingredient combination unlocks the moment you decide to break away from the usual routine.

Preparing a standard cabbage head for a weeknight supper is an act of comforting repetition, but introducing a sachet of Herb & Spice Mayo Sprinkle mixed with NOLA Tangy mayonnaise alters the entire idea of the meal. What would have been a standard, predictable slaw instantly elevates into something extraordinary.

The dried herbs against the tang of the NOLA mayonnaise, infusing the crisp ribbons of cabbage with an aromatic depth that makes the entire dish feel brand new.

It provokes an immediate reaction from anyone at the table, When the children look up from their plates and ask if their personal favorite flavour can be mixed into the next batch, you realise that a simple product innovation has successfully turned a routine dinner into an active conversation about taste and creativity.

The suggestion that the Burger sprinkle sachet might belong in a coleslaw is exactly the kind of out the box, creative thinking that keeps a kitchen alive.

Involving the family in these little cooking experiments turns cooking from a chore into a fun time. Getting the kids into the kitchen to play around with these five distinct flavour sachets creates a genuine sense of curiosity.

They learn to taste, to adjust, and to see how a smoky punch of chili or a warm depth of curry can completely shift the balance of a familiar dish. It encourages everyone to get creative, pushing past the boundaries of how we used to use mayo.

By treating the mixing bowl as a canvas, a simple head of cabbage becomes a weekly adventure, ensuring that no two suppers ever taste exactly the same and that we stay encouraged. Go out and buy 3 or more Sprinkles and Nola Mayo.

INGREDIENTS

1 small head of fresh green cabbage, finely shredded ½ small head of fresh red cabbage, finely shredded 2 medium carrots grated 1 half cup of NOLA Tangy mayonnaise 1 sachet of Hinds Herb & Spice Mayo Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice (optional) ½ teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of freshly Hinds black pepper chopped fresh parsley

INSTRUCTIONS Place the finely shredded green cabbage and the grated carrots into a large, wide mixing bowl. Toss the vegetables together thoroughly with your hands or a pair of salad tongs until the orange ribbons of carrot are evenly distributed throughout the green snd red cabbage base.

In a separate, smaller mixing bowl, measure out the half cup of NOLA Tangy mayonnaise.

Open the sachet of Hinds Herb & Spice Mayo Sprinkle and pour the entire contents directly into the mayonnaise.

Use a small whisk or a spoon to stir the mixture vigorously until the savory spices and herbs are completely integrated, turning the smooth mayonnaise into a speckled, fragrant dressing.

Season the dressing with salt and black pepper, adjusting to your personal taste preference.

Pour the completed herb dressing over the shredded cabbage and carrots in the large bowl.

Use a large spoon to fold the ingredients together, ensuring that every single ribbon of vegetable is lightly and evenly coated in the seasoned mayonnaise.

Sprinkle the finely chopped fresh parsley over the top of the salad for a burst of colour and extra freshness.

Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and place it into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the cabbage to soften slightly and giving the flavours time to meld together into a delicious side dish.
