Man hospitalised after nightclub attack

According to police, the man aged 36, was relaxing in his vehicle and chatting with a woman outside a popular lifestyle nightclub at around 5:30am when an unknown man approached the vehicle and allegedly kicked one of its doors.
The victim reportedly got out of the vehicle to confront the assailant and question why he had kicked his car.
It is said then an argument ensued between the two before the suspect allegedly produced a sharp object and stabbed the victim twice, once in the stomach and again in the right thigh.
Maun Police Station assistant commander, Assistant Superintendent Paul Basupi, said the injured man was rushed to Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital, where he remains admitted in a critical condition receiving medical treatment.
Basupi explained the suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack and has not yet been identified.
Police have since launched investigations and are appealing to members of the public for assistance.
Those who may have witnessed the incident or have information that could assist in identifying and arresting the suspect to come forward, Basupi pleaded.
