Maele suspends BUAN Vice Chancellor

BUAN announced today (Monday) that the suspension follows a recommendation by its council.

'In line with university policy and good governance principles, the University Council has appointed Professor Wellington Masamba as Acting Vice Chancellor to ensure continuity of operations and academic activities during this period,' BUAN said in the statement.

'BUAN remains committed to its mandate of teaching, research, and community engagement. Normal university operations continue uninterrupted. The university will not be commenting further at this stage to allow due process to take its course.'
