KPMG in Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions:
ADVISORY
Associate Director – Enterprise Risk Services (ERS)
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
l Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Services strategy against set key performance
indicators
l Overseeing the delivery of Enterprise Risk services to clients; including Technology Risk Consulting services
l Directing the planning, resourcing, execution of engagements and reporting to board audit committees
l Ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality and risk management policies and procedures
l Establishing and maintaining sound working relationship with client counterparts.
l Driving business development, including identifying opportunities and the development and delivery of proposals
l Coaching staff and implementing performance management processes.

l Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening): an ability to present information concisely, to communicate in a
manner applicable to all levels
l Excellent time management skills with demonstrable experience of working under pressure

l Good understanding of risk management and compliance universe, concepts and frameworks
Qualifications and experience required for the role:
l Fully qualified Chartered Accountant
l Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification is preferred and IIA membership in good standing
l Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent is an added advantage
l CISA qualification is advantageous
l At least ten (10) years post-qualification experience in a consulting professional services environment, 5 of which should have
been in a senior managerial role
AUDIT
Senior Manager – Audit
l Reporting to the Audit Partners, successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
l Planning and managing audit engagements
l Reviewing financial statements prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting
l Standards (IFRS)
l Carrying out special assurance assignments as and when required
l Establishing and maintaining sound working relationships with client counterparts
l Managing audit costs and working capital
l Constant monitoring of processes and procedures over the provision of external audit services by the firm
l Managing ad-hoc assurance and advisory assignments as may be required from time to time;
l Providing on the job coaching for less experienced staff as and when required

l Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues
l Demonstrate knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and the interpretation of IFRS Accounting Standards
l Critical thinking

l Project management skills
Qualifications and experience required for the role:
l Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
l Post graduate diploma in accounting or equivalent
l Fully qualified Chartered Accountant
l At least seven (7) years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting / audit environment, two (2) of which should have
been in a managerial role in one of the Big 4 audit firms.
