Ausdrill Mining Surface (AMS) has been in operation in Africa since 1993. Initially started in Ghana, AMS
has expanded its operations over the years into other countries in West Africa and now, Southern Africa. In
line with an opportunity that has presented itself in our Botswana operations, we are seeking applications
from qualified and experienced candidates to join our team. These positions will be based at the Motheo
Copper Project, located in Gantsi in Botswana. We are actively seeking to recruit several experienced
mining personnel in the following position:
MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Senior Planner, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring
that all Asset Management strategy tasks and associated resources are planned and performed,
and also in order to conform to local and company health, safety and environmental standards
and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure effective Backlog Management, Planned Maintenance and inspection control, short
term-, mid-term-, & long-term planning, and Job Folder creation
Assist in defining the base maintenance strategy which drives the maintenance program
and life cycle cost engine
Import and interpret condition monitoring data.
Knowledge of safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards related to mining.
Assist in the Registration of Assets and Maintenance of Asset register
Job Requirements
National Craft Certificate (NCC) in mechanics
3 Years Maintenance Planning experience preferably in a mining environment
Asset Management and maintenance planning qualifications would be an added advantage.
