Organisers explained that the country's premier B2B procurement platform connects SMEs with SADC buyers.
Now in its 10th year, the fair, which is the brainchild of Vuyiswa Mojela, features curated 'Deal Rooms'.
This segment arranges pre-scheduled meetings between suppliers and procurement leaders from Debswana, Morupule, Khoemacau, Tataki, Botswana Railways and Botswana Ash.
Other meetings take place featuring officials of ministries of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and Minerals and Energy.
The fair is supported by Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority, Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub, Botswana Bureau of Standards, Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency and Zimbabwe Junior Chamber of Mines.
The event drives local content and regional integration and turns procurement into commercial contracts for African SMEs.
Some of the companies and institutions are coming to Trade Up North specifically to find new suppliers, distributors and partners.
They include amongst others AmaLooLoo, Energy4All, Nature Clean, Imsyser and Innovana Collective.
The Trade Up North Mining Fair 2026 will take place in Francistown at Cresta Marang Gardens.
