These shakers come in 5 flavours and get be used to create a sauce, dip , spread in fact, wherever you would normally use mayonnaise. Our options are, Curry, Smokey Chilli, Burger, Garlic & Onion and Herb & Spice. On each packet there’s an image if a dish and these are the dishes I opted to make first when trying out each shaker. The boys are always lucky to be first in line to try out new ingredients and dishes. I was extremely late with supper which had Garlic & Onion potato salad and a Curry Pasta Salad. They had it with grilled chicken and some garlic bread. It was completely giving braai/peso which had me forgiven quickly. The next day I was a few minutes late with lunch, it’s one of those weeks when it feels like there isn’t enough hours in a day, Pork burgers with Burger shaker and the Smokey Chillie for the Fries. By now I know and you should too, that the boys are my harshest critics because they love me. I just read this sentence out loud and asked hubby if it’s safe to say, he agrees. He thinks that it’s also because they eat my food daily so they can easily make comparisons. Top ranking at this time is the burger and fries, when you have someone dance when brining back an empty plate, that speaks volumes. Hubby felt like it was so good, his itch has been scratched for a good burger. The Mayo Shakers are a game changer, hats off to Hinds for yet another product that was engineered with the customer in mind. I can easily believe that you and I were in mind when rolling out these shakers because of flavour and most importantly the price point. At P5 and just half a cup of mayonnaise we can transform everyday dishes and sides.
There are some of the most ridiculous things online on the socials. Just earlier I think something called Your Take or something. Some lady on the tube went on about how food controls people. How food is actually functional and is fuel for the body.
She went as far as saying she doesn’t season eggs. That food is not supposed to taste good. Fuel yes I completely agree, but that food doesn’t need to taste good. Absolutely not! And this is what makes me a Hinds girly. I’m all for strong, bold, big flavour.
This easy, one-bowl smashed potato salad is the ultimate budget-friendly, crowd-pleasing starch that minimises clean-up by letting you prep and mix everything in a single dish.
After boiling potatoes peeled or unpeeled until tender, toss them directly into your bowl alongside hard-boiled eggs and roughly smash them with a fork, creating a rustic texture that perfectly traps the dressing and because its folded right into the warm ingredients, it easily allows the potatoes to absorb the rich flavours instantly.
Because it uses pantry staples and eliminates the need for separate mixing bowls or cutting boards, this comforting, creamy salad comes together effortlessly and can be served warm or chilled to satisfy everyone at the table.
Potato salad is always a brilliant choice because it effortlessly combines comfort, affordability, and crowd-pleasing versatility into one simple dish.
